How to Use the Handyman™️ Travel Foil Shaver
Learn how to use our travel foil trimmer, The Handyman™️. Read along for extra tips and watch the video for a close-up view on how to use our dual-blade travel shaver.
Step 1: Juice it up.
So, you’ve got your new Handyman™ travel foil shaver and you’re just dying to let it loose. That’s great.
First things first, you’ll need to charge it using the included USB-C Cable. Our quick-charging Li-ion battery gives you up to 60 minutes of getting your foil on. And if you’re short on time, the 5-minute quick charge will give you enough juice to clean things up. If you’re like this writer, you threw away the box and have no idea where the charger is…but don’t worry. Any USB-C cable and wall charger you’ve accumulated will work trimmingly.
Step 2: Read the light
When the Handyman is charging, the indicator light will blink repeatedly. Once fully charged, the light will glow steadily and stop blinking. Press the button for a quick test to make sure everything’s working, and then you’re ready to go!
Step 3: Let’s get shaving.
Press the power button to turn on the Handyman. You should hear the shaver buzz to life and as you look closely—not too close, please—you’ll see the blades moving swiftly back and forth.
The Handyman has two blades—The long-hair leveler that cuts down longer stubble, then the foil section shaves the remaining stubble down to the skin. For the most comfortable shave, place the blade flat and flush against your skin. Lead with the long-hair leveler to cut down the longer scruff, but maintain contact between your skin and the foil shaver to really get a smooth shave.
Experiment going with and against the grain of your hair growth, that way you make sure to get even the smallest of stragglers.
Step 4: Cleaning and storing.
After you’ve gotten a great, close shave, treat your face and neck to something soothing. This might take a little experimentation as you find out what your skin likes and what it doesn’t, but once you land on the right product, it should make your post-shaving routine irritation-free.
When it comes to the Handyman, you should clean it so it’s not clogging up with hairs. Simply pop off the plastic blade, run both the blade and the body of the shaver under some water to clear out any hairs and impurities, then place both parts on a towel so they can dry. This will prolong the life of your travel foil shaver to ensure you have years of smooth, good-lookin’ face ahead of you.
